Data-driven TCG analysis, written by named humans, sourced from primary records.
TableTopMeta exists to give competitive players, collectors, and curious newcomers a single, trustworthy place to understand Magic: The Gathering and the Pokémon TCG. We translate official rules, tournament results, and live market data into long-form guides, deck databases, and decision tools that respect your time and your wallet.
We are independent and reader-supported. We accept affiliate revenue from Amazon and TCGPlayer when you buy products we recommend, but affiliate links never determine what we cover or how we rank it.
We cite primary sources whenever possible: the Wizards of the Coast Comprehensive Rules (with rule numbers), official set release notes, Scryfall card data, magic.gg metagame reports, and MTGTop8 tournament results. Pokémon TCG coverage references official Pokémon Company set listings and community-validated rotation announcements.
Prices change. Where we cite a number, we link to the source (TCGPlayer, Scryfall, or PriceCharting) and timestamp the article. Long-form market analysis is updated when material moves occur — set rotations, ban announcements, or significant reprints — and the modified date on each article reflects the most recent substantive update.
Every article carries a named human byline. Our authors use AI tools as research aids (drafting outlines, surfacing cited sources, producing first drafts that a human then verifies and rewrites), but no article is published without a named editor reading it end to end and standing behind the claims. We do not publish anonymous AI output as fact.
Some product cards on TableTopMeta link to Amazon, TCGPlayer, and other retailers via affiliate programs. When you buy through those links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We disclose this on every page that contains affiliate links and we do not accept payment for product placement, ranking position, or favourable reviews.
If you spot a rules error, a stale price, or a misattributed deck, email editorial@tabletopmeta.com. Substantive corrections are noted at the foot of the article along with the date the correction was made.
TableTopMeta is published by a small team of TCG players and writers. Each author has their own profile page listing their areas of expertise and a complete archive of their work on the site.
